We had a great time at Harbour View House. We booked Alison’s lovely house as we were attending Goodwood Revival this year. Despite the rain all weekend it was extra comforting to be able to stay at Harbour View House each day we returned from the Revival. The house is extremely equipped with everything you would need for a stay with friends. The beds are so comfortable and we couldn’t have wished for a better stay. A wonderful house! Thank you very much Alison.

We had a brilliant two weeks at Harbour View House in August this year. The house is very well thought out and so comfortable. So many different seating and dining areas – all beautifully decorated. Beds were probably, hands down, the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on in a holiday rental, with top notch bed linen too! Alison and Michael were responsive and hugely helpful providing as much information as we needed on things to do locally, local car charger points, best beaches etc. Pub and mostly beer garden across the road is excellent!

This is my third visit to Harbour View House and each time gets better and more difficult to pack up and leave! Alison and Mike are wonderful hosts, the property is immaculate with everything you need to make this a 5 start holiday experience in the beautiful harbour of Del Quay

Wow, wow, wow. From the moment we pulled into the gorgeous hamlet of Dell Quay, we were captivated. Harbourview House is a delight. The attention to detail exquisite and everything you need is well thought of and on hand. The decor is lovely with so many thoughtful nods to the coast and local area. Alison has thought of everything. When she met us on arrival, we felt welcomed and taken care of immediately. Walking upstairs to the living room really was a WOW moment- the views!!! 😍 The house & garden are perfect. The pub was great. Lovely local walks; such a stunning area!

A fabulous house in a stunning location! We had wonderful weekend on the ‘Sussex Riviera’ – beautiful walks along the estuary, swimming at Sesley, dinner at the Crab & Lobster at Pagham and several visits to the Crown & Anchor a stone’s throw from the house. The accommodation is stylish, well layed out and superbly equipped with everything you need for a home from home stay. Views from the first floor sitting room & bedroom are fantastic. Alison is a very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic stay at Harbour View House, very relaxing and everything has been thought of. The dogs had a lovely time too as it’s totally enclosed and their own little room with toys to run in and out of. Alison is a very kind and considerate host and the welcome basket was appreciated. The house is just stunning and along with the views so peaceful. The local pub is exactly that – about 50 yards away with a friendly welcome, lovely food and allows dogs everywhere which is rare. A place of luxury and accommodates dogs! We’ll be back.

Our second visit to HVH , this time to celebrate my mum’s 80th, and we all had a wonderful time. The location of the house is superb with amazing views over the water and a great pub close by too. The attention to detail and the level of comfort in the house is first class. We visited Arundel Castle gardens which are well worth a visit , and had a great walk at West Wittering beach . We hope to be back

A lovely week of waterside muddy walks, skylarks, and peaceful evenings with sofa views of harbour and occasional sunsets. Bus into Chichester for Pallant House exhibition and car to RSPB Pagham Harbour etc. Alison is a welcoming, thoughtful, and generous host who provides a well-equipped and comfortable temporary ” home”.

60th Birthday celebrated with husband, family & 2 dogs. The house was lovely and the interior design beautiful. Alison provided us with some walks locally and places to visit. Being January, the dog walks were muddy but the heated outside wash room/bathroom had dog shampoo & towels to get them clean and dry. We cooked Sunday roast and the kitchen had everything we needed, its very well equipped. The pub across the road was dog friendly and welcoming where we had a lunch and a lovely evening meal Saturday. All in all a great weekend and would love to return when the weather is warmer.

We had a wonderful stay just after New Year in this beautiful house which we have also had the pleasure of staying in a couple of times before. Alison could not be more helpful with information prior to your stay, her welcome at the house and her invaluable recommendations of local places. This time, Harbour View House was beautifully decorated for Christmas and as before a generous welcome pack was left for us. We all love the furnishings, the views from the upstairs living room and the walks from the door. We are already planning our next visit. HVH is highly recommended!

A lovely return stay at Harbour View House this time over the New Year. A perfect place to see in 2024. There was a lovely tree and other tasteful decorative touches which made the house feel very Christmassy. The house is so well equipped with everything you need and more to cook a celebratory meal. I’d definitely recommend it as a fab place to stay over the Christmas period. And if you don’t fancy cooking the pub is within touching distance!

We came to HVH to celebrate my special birthday with our friends, arriving to find the house beautifully decorated for Christmas with fairy lights around the dining table and a wonderful lit tree in the upstairs living room. Logs had been left for the indoor and outdoor open fires. This was our second visit to HVH and the attention to detail was amazing as always. The weather was atrocious during our stay but we were all able to use the wonderful space to enjoy special times with special friends. The Crown and Anchor and Thyme & Chilli were also fabulous.

I have visited HVH on 3 occasions with my daughters and their families. The house is really well equipped and we have enjoyed all our visits. There are great walks and good biking (bring your own or hire). Also a great local pub.

Second time at Harbour View House. We had a perfect few days celebrating a family birthday. The house is in an idyllic location. It’s beautifully decorated, superbly equipped and the outdoor space is perfect, very private and great for entertaining. Alison has really thought of everything….it’s probably the best equipped holiday place I’ve ever stayed in. She is the perfect host – so accommodating – nothing is too much trouble. I absolutely love this place. Will definitely return.

We spent a very enjoyable and relaxing long weekend at Harbour View House. The house is beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped, with lovely gardens in an outstanding location. Lots of places of interest within easy reach and excellent dog walking. We’d come again.

A far too short stay at Harbour View House. Firstly, the house is brilliantly equipped…especially the kitchen and everything was spotlessly clean. The location, immediately opposite the Crown & Anchor pub (great food and a lovely terrace overlooking the harbour), was also a huge plus. The house is lovely – beautifully decorated and comfortable. For any length stay in the area…I would highly recommend it and we are planning to return with a few friends in tow.

This is truly the best holiday house we’ve stayed in. Alison is a wonderful host and has catered for every need possible. The house is beautiful, in an incredible location, and it is equipped so well that you could just move in and live there!

We made good use of the extremely well equipped kitchen and had great fun cooking as a family. We had great weather and the position of the house is ideal for dog walking and visiting lovely beaches. We had a splendid holiday at Harbour View House and have booked a return visit. HVH is beautiful and extremely well equipped. The Crown and Anchor opposite has an excellent menu, with a good selection of local fish. Best of all is Alison’s ability to be the perfect host. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at Harbour View House. After our first time there, we could not believe it could have gotten any better but we were wrong!! The garden was superb, just extending the style and elegance of the house and the little touches (luxury starter pack, all the essentials you could imagine, information from the hosts l) just added to the special time we had there as a family ranging from 23 to 83.

A memorable weekend stay at Harbour View House! It’s a lovely, light and airy property, beautifully presented, even exceeding the website photographs. The host has clearly put a great deal of thought into providing everything a guest could possibly desire, and more!

This is the 4th time I have stayed at HVH. It has always been a fabulous experience This time was with friends for the Coronation weekend. As always Alison really “pushed the boat out” with the wonderful decorations in the house and garden. The attention to detail was second to none and everything was in place for a perfect long weekend. The dogs were also made most welcome and although I took my own dog paraphernalia there were plenty of dog towels and shampoos available to wash the mud off (Saturday was rather wet!). We really love HVH and the lovely views from the sitting room upstairs.

Stunning property, congratulations to Alison and Mike who have made this house a delight to stay in. We arrived ready to celebrate the coronation and we were blown away by the red, white and blue bunting, table decorations and union jacks that Alison had put up, such a lovely surprise to see the house and gardens dressed so beautifully for this very special occasion. The quality of the furnishings, bedding, toiletries and all the very generous extras provided make this a very special place to explore the beautiful surroundings.

We were lucky enough to enjoy the most incredible stay at this beautiful home. Every single tiny detail has been thought of, it’s a home from home, but the home of dreams! The house is spacious with different seating areas so if you’re a large group, there’s plenty of space to relax. We loved our lazy mornings drinking coffee around the kitchen table. We saw Alison on our last day and she asked what we’d done during our stay. Embarrassingly we had to admit that the furthest we’d gone was to the Crown and Anchor, the pub opposite. We loved the house so much we wanted to enjoy every moment there

We had a fabulous four nights at Harbour View House. Alison the host made us so welcome letting us know of all the things to do in the area. The location is fantastic with wonderful views across the harbour but even better is the house and gardens which have been designed is such a stylish, warm and welcoming manner, allowing us to relax in style. And the bottle of sparkling English wine provided was very welcome as well! We are sure to return.

We spent a lovely few days at Harbour View Cottage. It really lives up to it’s name and we loved the views over the estuary and the fantastic sunsets. It’s a great base for exploring Chichester Harbour and surrounding area. The house is very well equipped and lots of thought has been given to making it very comfortable. It was well suited to our multi-generational family. Alison the host was very welcoming and helpful, providing lots of information before our trip and some great tips of what to do and places to visit. We can’t wait to visit again, and would highly recommend it

Excellent house in a fantastic location. Sitting in the upstairs lounge overlooking the harbour was just the perfect way to relax. Every detail in the house has been carefully thought about for a very comfortable stay. The owner was very helpful, and provided great recommendations on places to visit in the local area. Our return visit to this beautiful and comfortable home in a delightful location. It is really well equipped and beautifully presented with a lovely selection of local food on arrival. Great food at the local pub opposite and a variety of lovely walks and places of interest to visit nearby. Alison is a great host, so friendly and welcoming, who has thought of everything for a special stay and is very generous with her time, suggesting places to visit. Absolutely beautiful home and a breathtaking tranquil location. Our stay here has been amazing and we will always have wonderful family memories of our visit here from the USA. The meticulous thought and attention to detail that Alison has put into the house are incredible and make it a very warm and welcoming place to stay. The layout of the house made it perfect for our family travelling from three different States in the USA. The welcome basket and well-supplied home made it really welcoming on arrival. There isn’t any detail that has been missed. It’s a five-star home!

This is a fantastic house in a lovely setting with great views from the upstairs living room. Beautifully presented and very comfortable. There is a great pub opposite serving good food with excellent service. We did several walks from the house including to Bosham and to the marina at Chichester Harbour. Fantastic home in an equally fantastic location! We booked Harbour View House for a weekend break with friends and our dogs. Upon arrival, we were greeted with local foods alongside a bottle of champagne for the humans, and dog toys and treats for our furry friends! The house is spacious enough for privacy and yet has a such well-considered flow that you naturally have space together… with a wonderful harbour view in the upstairs lounge and an open plan kitchen diner to enjoy after long waterside walks for evenings of chat, games and wine! A truly perfect weekend!

Harbour View House is perfectly situated next to the pretty harbour. The information we were given prior to arrival was clear and helpful. The house is beautiful, comfortable, welcoming, and smart. It is also dog-friendly and the dog members of our party loved it too. The champagne left for us was a lovely touch – there was also delicious cheese, biscuits, etc there for us. Harbour View House could not be improved upon as a place for dogs and their people to stay. And the location is excellent, with lovely walks. Alison has managed to create a five-star holiday location full of beauty.

Four of us had a great stay at the lovely H.V. House, plenty to do nearby and had a lovely afternoon at Goodwood for the races. Alison was most helpful.

It is beautifully designed, and exceptionally well-equipped and the owner has thought of everything that a guest could possibly want. We enjoyed all of the different seating areas, especially the covered, heated area outside which is lit at night. The property is private, spacious and has guaranteed parking. The exceptional pub across the road is definitely worth a visit for lunch or dinner. Thank you Alison for your wonderful welcome and we look forward to returning.

Harbour View House surpassed our very high expectations and our family rated it the best holiday we have had in the UK. Everything in the house from cutlery to bedding is of luxury quality and the decor imaginative and beautiful. The garden furniture is perfect. The proximity of the 16th-century pub ( food not cheap but excellent!) is the stuff of dreams! No noise problems. Lovely walks from the house, likewise paddleboarding.

Have just spent a wonderful weekend with our family and 2 dogs at the fabulous Harbour View House. A lovely surprise welcome of chilled Champagne, local scones, jam and clotted cream and other goodies. A great start at this incredible house – Alison and Michael the owners have done a fantastic job on the renovation which has been done with great taste and style. The outside space is ideal, with lots of room to relax and dine. The view of the harbour from the upstairs sitting room and bedroom is breathtaking! We have stayed at many holiday rentals but this has to be the best! Will be back 🙂

The house is fully equipped and the garden well set up with comfortable outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco meals and relaxing. We very much enjoyed our stay here in Harbour View House, taking the opportunity to have friends and family stay with us throughout the holiday. It is a lovely house with everything you could wish for. The decor is superb and so interesting too. We spent quite a lot of time looking at everything and talking about them! The first-floor sitting room was so good too overlooking the Dell Quay. This is a special place for my husband who came regularly to the pub as a child for a lemonade and a bag of crisps!! We enjoyed exploring the area too. Thank you very much. It would be nice to come again.

We’ve just had a fabulous 5-day break at Harbour View House. Superb location, opposite an excellent pub, with great coastal walks from the door. Once through the gate, the hustle and bustle of the busy little quay melt away, and you find yourself in a peaceful private garden that wraps around the house and has several comfy seating areas. Inside, the house really has the wow factor, whilst also being extremely comfortable. Alison is an excellent host. She was there to greet us and gave us a lovely warm welcome, a tour of the house and lots of local information. We were really sorry to leave.

We had a great stay at Harbour View House. The house is in a brilliant location, situated right behind the pub in Dell Quay, with views of the harbour and lagoon. We had two great days of weather which allowed us to explore the area by walking, short drives to the beach and trying out the nearby pub, Alison’s hospitality and suggestions on things to do were very handy. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, and the well-kept garden is spacious and perfect for evening drinks or a BBQ.

This was our second visit to Harbour View House which says it all. A lovely light-filled house, beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with a pretty, private garden in a wonderful location. Alison has thought of everything you might need, down to a sewing kit in a bedroom drawer. Wonderfully stocked kitchen. Cycle and walking routes are just a short walk from the front door and the Crown & Anchor is a great facility to have. Fabulous beaches, pubs, and farm shops are a short drive away. It’s a special place and we’ll be back!

Wowza…. I was lucky enough to stay at the harbour view house the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding. What a lovely experience. Friday night was just perfect.. was greeted with some champagne in the fridge – was just lovely. Myself and my bridal party had a relaxing night – the facilities are fab! The house was perfect for wedding prep.. lovely and spacious with 2 living rooms. We then had a cleaner come in to give it a quick tidy for the return of me and the hubby that evening. Sunday was perfect, we had a BBQ in the gorgeous outside area.. highly recommend staying here!!

Harbour View was a fantastic House for both humans and dogs. Alison has put her heart and soul into the house. It was perfect we loved everything. It was equipped with absolutely everything the furnishings were fabulous. The views were to die for and the pub served fantastic food. It was so nice to find such a beautiful house that took dogs. we loved it so much we want to live there. Cannot wait to go back

What a wonderful break! A beautiful house and garden, in a wonderful location. My friend and I (and our dogs) had the most relaxing of weeks. Everything was thought of to ensure our stay was as relaxing and chilled as possible. Alison the host was fabulous with communication, and really quick and helpful when I had a couple of questions…nothing was too much trouble. I’d highly recommend, so much to do and see …and everything felt really close by……beautiful woods and forests, gorgeous coastal areas….and some great pubs!

We stayed at Harbour View House, a family of four with a spaniel, over Christmas and we had the most relaxing and wonderful time. Alison has equipped the house with everything you could want, including in our case 2 beautiful Christmas trees, lots of fairy lights and Christmas table decorations. We even found dog biscuits! Alison was helpful before we arrived with recommendations and on hand during our trip if we needed anything The walks nearby on the coast and the countryside are beautiful and the pub across the street serves delicious food. Throughly recommend.

A gorgeous pre Christmas stay with cosy fires and beautiful Christmas trees, so much to see and do and delicious food at the pub opposite. Alison could not have done more to make our stay more comfortable. We shall be back!

Harbour View House at Dell Quay is exceptional . Alison was there on arrival to show how everything works. The house has been done with lots of thought about people staying. Very comfortable bedrooms . 2 sitting rooms one with a fire and the other has an amazing view of the water . Kitchen has everything with views of the garden and plenty of tables outside to sit and eat. A room outside has a shower , washing machine and plenty of space for anyone who has just come back from swimming or sailing. Excellent food at the pub opposite. We will hopefully return.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Harbour View House. Alison has created a luxurious and comfortable home and thought about everything you could possibly need and more. We loved gazing at the sea and boats from the panoramic upstairs sitting room and were blessed with beautiful sunny and warm (unusually so for November) weather. The stars were out in force due to the low light pollution and lovely walks from the house were just the ticket! We will return!

We stayed at Harbour View House for a birthday celebration and we could not have been happier. The house was perfect for the occasion – beautifully styled, with lovely views, well situated for walks from the door and a pub within staggering distance, and so well appointed. I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed in a place with such a comprehensively equipped kitchen! And the outside space, even in November, was fantastic (we used the fire pit!). Alison herself could not have been more helpful in offering advice about what to do, and the bottle of champagne in the fridge was a special touch.

Perfect house in perfect location. Beautifully furnished and so comfortable. Alison has really thought of everything. Such a relaxing stay I didn’t want to leave. Probably the best equipped house I’ve stayed in. I would highly recommended it and will return.

I’m a travel journalist and have stayed in lots of lovely places but Alison’s house was one of the very best. She had thought of everything, from gin and champagne glasses, a picnic blanket and beach towels, to barbecue coals and a welcome hamper with fresh scones and cream, local apple juice and a lovely rose. There were lots of lovely touches such as stylish candles, fairy lights strewn across the garden, beautiful bed linen and cushions galore. The location was superb with lovely watery views over Dell Quay and the Crown and Anchor pub serving local crab burgers etc. We will be back.

Warm welcome from Alison, who has set everything up for a wonderfully comfortable stay overlooking the harbour. Great interior design, lovely garden, space for everyone to spread out – we enjoyed walking the beautiful countryside, the beach, & good drinks & food harbourside at the welcoming pub. A great venue for a family group or group of friends, we relaxed, sat in the sunshine, enjoyed the organic goodies in Alison’s well-chosen welcome pack, & will definitely be back again soon!

The superb location, the inspiring decor, the outstanding facilities, the charming garden, the special and thoughtful personal touches and the wonderful hosts all made for a stay in which lots of precious memories were made.
